Gordian Strapping is delighted to continue its support for the Heavitree Titans Under 11s football team, who are now proudly wearing their brand-new Gordian-sponsored training and warm-up tops for the 2025 season. The partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to grassroots football and the communities our team members call home.
How the partnership began
The sponsorship was inspired by a strong personal connection within the Gordian Strapping team. One of our Systems Installation Engineers, who has twin boys playing for the Titans, approached Managing Director Andrew about supporting the squad. With funding often tight in grassroots football, Gordian was keen to help.
“Money in grassroots football is tight, so getting Gordian’s support is a massive help,” he shared.
Our team saw an opportunity to make a meaningful difference – supporting young players, local families and a club rooted in community spirit.
What the sponsorship provides
Gordian’s sponsorship covers the cost of the team’s new training and warm-up tops, including:
- Embroidered club badges
- Player initials
- Gordian Strapping logo printing
This is part of a two-year sponsorship cycle, and it marks the second time we’ve supported the squad. The club rotates kits on a two-year plan – home kit and rain jackets one-year, away kit and training tops the next -making long-term sponsorship vital.

The Titans embody many of the same values that drive Gordian Strapping: teamwork, commitment, and pride in continuous improvement. Supporting a team built on these foundations reflects our belief in helping young people develop skills that go far beyond the pitch.
About the team
The Heavitree Titans U11s consist of a squad of 13 players, all of whom feature in the team photo alongside their two coaches. They currently play 9-a-side football and compete in Division 1 – a well-earned position following years of hard work and a strong competitive record. The team has 22 league games per season, plus additional cup fixtures, the Titans are aiming to continue their impressive form.
The team’s name is inspired by the club’s Exeter roots and the strength of Greek mythology.
Heavitree represents the district they play in, while Titans – chosen by Head Coach Steve Webber, reflects the power and determination the players bring each week.

Supporting from the side lines
Our Systems Installation Engineer, whose sons play for the Titans, is there every single week helping with refereeing, running the line and even the occasional pitch marking. Gordian’s connection to the team isn’t just financial; it’s hands-on and heartfelt.
Looking ahead
For the Titans, the goal is simple: continue giving a group of boys the chance to do what they love with their friends every week. Success on the pitch is a bonus though they certainly take pride in their achievements, including winning the Exeter & District League Cup in their first competitive season at U9.
Being in Division 1 is a privilege they’ve worked hard for, and their aim is to remain competitive and hold their place through determination and teamwork.
