It’s nearly time for the UK’s finest packaging and processing companies to descend on the NEC for the annual PPMA Show. But what do you need to make this year’s show a success? A stand that grabs attendees' attention? Tick. A range of products that shows your company's full capabilities? Definitely. A quick prayer to the lead generation gods? Essential.

What is the PPMA Total Show?

The PPMA Total Show is the largest processing and packaging machinery exhibition in the UK. It’s an opportunity for companies to showcase the best-in-class when it comes to packaging machinery, robotics and industrial vision systems.

Exhibitors come from all across Europe and there is coverage across a huge variety of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, white goods, building materials and equipment, retail, as well as distributors and many more.

It’s an opportunity for companies to see new technologies in action, as well as meet and network with potential new suppliers, influencers and technical experts alike.

Is the PPMA Show worth going to?

Short answer, yes.

If you’re a company that is interested in enhancing your packaging operations, it’s well worth the trip to Birmingham. Even if you are not a multi-million-pound organisation that is looking to invest in the latest technologies, seeing the innovation first-hand can inspire new ideas to propel your business forward.

There’s something for everyone at the show, from affordable stand-alone machines to extravagant systems that wouldn’t look out of place on Dr Who!

Oh, we’ll be there. And this year, we’re taking things to the next level.

Towards the end of last year, we made a pact. To take our exhibition offering from ‘floundering in mediocrity’ to competing with the best. To use a football analogy, take our Conference exhibition offering and turn it into a Premier League outfit.

Whilst we don’t have a Saudi Arabian prince ready to bankroll us up the leagues, we do have the support of Quadrant2Design – an exhibition stand design studio in Dorset.

Together, we’ve built a beauty of an exhibition stand that will be looking to make a splash amongst the big boys at the PPMA Total Show.

Gone are the days of the roll-up banner, with the stand structure getting a new lick of paint that truly shows off our offering.

Furthermore, if you find yourself in the market for an exhibition stand, we’d thoroughly recommend Quadrant, whose customer service has been excellent throughout.

Check out the before and after below:

So what are you exhibiting?

It’s not all just killer stand designs and pretty pictures. We’ve massively upgraded the machines populating the space as well. The floor plan now includes an automated packaging securement system, with both strapping and wrapping machines.

Additionally, the palletised goods will be stretched wrapped using a PKG Discovery A, before being transported via a roller conveyor to an OMS 875 – where two straps will be applied. This mirrors a fully automated production line that could be combined with all manner of machinery, like robot palletisation.

Meanwhile, one of our glamorous assistants (or more likely hairy sales managers) will be displaying a stand-alone StraPack RQ-8A which will be shown as an individual solution but can also be used within a production line.

Moreover, the three machines are some of the best package securement machines on the market today. If your company is after autonomous systems that take your packaging operations to the next level through increased output, then these machines are not to be missed.

Wow, sounds amazing! When is the PPMA Show?

The PPMA Show runs from 27th to the 29th of September and is at the Birmingham NEC.

You can register for your free ticket here.

We’re in the stand space H80 – not far from the VIP lounge (la-di-da). We look forward to seeing you there and showing you our capabilities.
