Introducing GAME
If you’re from the UK, it’s likely you’ve heard of GAME. You’ve probably seen their purple stores dotted around local high streets and may have visited to browse the latest games and consoles.
Established in 1992, GAME is actually neighbours of Gordian – with their 220,000 sq. ft. distribution centre just across the road in Basingstoke. Good neighbours look out for one another and since 2006, we have been helping to develop their operational capabilities by providing multiple strapping systems.
We Ain't Playing No Games with Our Strapping Machines
Over the years, Gordian has provided a number of StraPack RQ-8A automatic strapping machinery to GAME – opting for the FB3 which indicates the number of belts (3) on the conveyor. These stand-alone systems can be integrated into a fully automated packaging line – adding speed and efficiency to any operation.
The StraPack RQ-8A fully automated strapping machine is ideal for high volume and operate with conveyor speeds of up to 30m/ min.Â
The machine features include:
- Easy strap loading (no need to remove the machine from the conveyor line to change the strap coil)
- Self-diagnostic function
- Variable tension (up to 80kg)
- Self-correcting technology – if the machine is operated without a pack in place, the strap forms a small loop which is ejected from the sealing unit and the machine then re-feeds ready for the next cycle.
- Ready to operate in under 25 seconds
